| H. Stewart Nielsen, Jr., Ph.D. – President |
| Dr. Nielsen founded Allermed Laboratories, Inc. in 1971 and has served as President of the company since this time. His interest in the antigenic properties of plants and microorganisms has resulted in the development of FDA-approved allergenic extracts and other related products, including a DTH antigen of Candida albicans. His present research is related to the development of skin test antigens for Coccidioidomycosis and Leishmaniasis. |
| Dr. Nielsen received his BS in Biology and MS in Botany from Brigham Young University. Dr. Nielsen received his Ph.D. in Botany and Microbiology from the Ohio State University. He was awarded a National Science Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medical Mycology, which he completed at Duke University. He was a member of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Duke University Medical Center where he taught microbiology, mycology, and parasitology. |
