| Extract mixtures formulated to physician's specifications are available from Allermed. Mixtures may include tree, grass and weed pollens, as well as non-pollen allergens such as molds, mites and animal allergens.
In formulating custom bulk mixtures, extracts with high protease activity should not be combined with other extracts. The action of proteases in some mold extracts are known to adversely affect the integrity of grass pollen extracts. As a general rule, it is advisable to mix pollen extracts together, but include non-pollen extracts in a separate mixture. Bulk extracts mixtures are available in 10 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml vial sizes for in-office use. The storage of these products at 2-8 C is recommended for maximum expiration dating. |
